Job Summary: Oversee the athletic training room and collaborate with medical staff at the assigned minor league affiliate to ensure proper health and safety of the players.
Minimum Requirements
• Education
• Bachelor's degree and NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer required.
• Experience
• Previous work/educational experiences that have prepared the candidate for a start in professional baseball.
• Skills
• Independent judgment and ability to multitask is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
• Must be trustworthy and comfortable with managing sensitive information, including HIPAA compliance and discretion are required.
• High level of interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with wide range of departments, seniority levels and personalities.
• Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications and communication platforms in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EMR and Slack).

• Spoken and written fluency in English
• Ability to travel within the United States and internationally.
• Willing to relocate for the season. This position is based at our Player Development Complex in the Dominican Republic.
• Maintain applicable state licensures and certifications, in good standing, to practice as a Certified Athletic Trainer in location assigned by the club.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Training Oversight & Safety - 40%
• Provide medical field coverage of games and practices as schedule dictates.
• Ensure proper field & dug-out set-up and preparation to ensure a safe playing environment for the health and well-being of players and staff.
• Operations & Support – 30%
• Maintain and operate an organized and functional professional athletic training room.
• Plan and execute the daily evaluations, treatments of injuries/illnesses.
• Administrative & Other - 20%
• Duties as assigned by the Player Development / Medical leadership.
• Off-season tasks and attendance of education and departmental meetings as scheduled are required.
• Communication & Coordination – 10%
• Communicate effectively to relay pertinent information in a timely manner to the staff, players and multiple departments across varying seniority levels.
• Provide thorough, accurate documentation in the EMR to exceed the established minimum standards.

• Coordinator of Minor League Athletic Training

Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (equipment, medical equipment, etc.).
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb stairs regularly in the course of daily duties
• Comfortable working in varying conditions (heat, humidity, cold, outdoors, confined spaces like locker rooms).
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks such as equipment setup.
• Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for tasks like organizing equipment, using computer programs and performing hands-on therapy.
• Ability to remain on feet to work long and variable hours, including weekends and holidays.
