Department: Ticketing New Business Development
Job Title: Account Executive, New Business Development
Reports To: Director of Ticketing- New Business
FLSA: Salaried, Non-exempt Fluctuating Half-Time Overtime
Job Purpose: This full time sales position is responsible for the direct prospecting and selling of season group, hospitality and suite ticket packages for the Cincinnati Reds. This person must be self-motivated and possess the skills required to create and execute a business sales plan to sell ticket packages at Great American Ball Park. This person will be responsible for individual and team ticket and revenue goals. Top performers will be considered for growth opportunities within the Reds Organization.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Bachelor degree required
• Three to five years sales experience required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sell ticket packages to businesses and individual fans via phone sales, face-to-face appointments and referrals
• Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets
• Identify, establish rapport and maintain contact with sales prospects and contacts
• Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods
• Meet or exceed outbound effort volume per day as set by Director
• Utilizes company CRM system to manage accounts, pipelines, productivity and measurements
• Develop and execute the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales proposals
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Identify and resolve client concerns
• Prepare a variety of status updates including activity, closings, follow-up, reports on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proven ability to generate new sales (sports experience not required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including phone, written and face to face
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
• Ability to utilize advertising and/or sales promotion techniques
• Ability to persuade and influence others
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to plan, organize and implement a range of sales promotion programs and/or events
• Ability to identify and/or follow up sales leads and referrals
Work Environment:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment however employee will have ''game-day'' and out of office appointment responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Hours will include nights, weekends and holidays.
