Project Accountant

This is a Full Time Job

Works closely with the Accounting Department and Project Managers to insure all project related finance is accurately recorded in CIDs accounting platform (Currently Quickbooks), as well as quickly and accurately reported/settled for all CID partners / projects.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare detailed Project P&L reports for project managers on a weekly basis and ensure their budgets match actual spending and income entered in QuickBooks.
• Manage accounting, upkeep and reconciliation of all event related income accounts including accounts with ticket companies, merchant providers, payment services.
• Enter all event income deposits into QuickBooks to ensure they are coded to the correct projects and Accounts.
• Work closely with project managers to facilitate and streamline the settlement process.
• Travel as needed to assist with project related finance.
• Work to ensure that all project accounting in QuickBooks is accurate and reconcilable to related
project settlements.
• Enforce accounting policy and ensure project staff are managing and communicating project
related financial information according to company policy.
• Ensure all receipts are filed properly in the project binder and easily accessible at all times.
• Use CID Information system to track and manage the settlement status for all projects on a daily
basis.
• Work with CID staff and outside parties to constantly improve and streamline the exchange of
financial information.
• Manage cash-float accounting and reconciliation within Quickbooks.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years experience with project/job oriented finance.
• Exceptional knowledge of QuickBooks required.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• Mac and Windows proficient
• Works well in a team environment with an ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Detail oriented
• Interest in music industry
• Available to travel to festivals and shows as needed
