The Choose to Be Happy Podcast is a holistic mental health resource that combines western medicine, spirituality, and positive psychology to provide listeners with step-by-step strategies for improving their overall well-being and happiness.
We interview leaders in the mental health space as well as Doctors, and Therapists, a variety of healers and people who have pulled themselves out of the trenches from darkness to light- to inspire listeners with simple tips to start living happier, regardless of their circumstances.
We are looking for a creative and friendly intern that has experience writing press releases and pitches and sending them to press and media outlets- both domestic and international. You will reach out to agents, publicists, managers to pitch the show and book guests.
You will also be responsible for content creation and posting social media output cross-platform (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube).
Work hours are not specific- work can be done on your time throughout the week. Approximately 5-15 hours per week.
Looking for someone who loves podcasts, and has an interest in helping people learn how to be happy so that they can beat anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues that might be holding them back from thriving.
Someone who appreciates those who use their platform and reach to advocate for and destigmatize mental health. Looking for someone with an outgoing personality, fun attitude and great work ethic.
Responsibilities:
• Booking Guests
• Reaching out to agents, managers and publicists
• Writing Press Releases and Pitches
• Organizing and delivering content
• Outreach and Connecting to Guests
• Creating content for social media
• Outreach to media outlets
• Ability to work on your own and as part of a team. You need to be well-organized (especially at project management), efficient and self-motivating.
• Working closely with producers
Desirable skills and experience:
• Understanding of Various Social Media Platforms
• Experience and or background Marketing / Media Outreach
• Proficient in MS word, and Canva
• Excellent communication and outreach skills
• A passion for mental health and self development and wanting to help people live happier.
