he Chicago White Sox are seeking an FP&A Analyst to contribute financial expertise within the dynamic setting of Major League Baseball. The FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the team's financial planning and analysis functions. This position involves working closely with departments across the organization to provide insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning for the organization.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management on variances and trends.
• Assist with MLB reporting requirements, including FIQ, iFIQ, LRP, Gate Receipt System ticketing reports, and ad-hoc requests.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Collaborate with department heads, including operations, marketing, and ticket sales, to gather and analyze financial data for decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
• Work with external auditors by providing supporting documentation.
• Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline required.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a comparable analytical role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and Power BI, such as Tableau.
• Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Possess both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to understand data, identify trends, and derive actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site at Rate Field five days per week.
Compensation:
• $80,000 - $85,000
