Overview:
The Chicago White Sox seeking an experienced Marketing & Advertising Coordinator to assist with day-to-day marketing operations. This individual will help with the development and deployment of email and paid digital campaigns requested from key stakeholders, as well as creating and managing multiple media schedules and cross-channel copy for all departments.
With a strong reliance on marketing and advertising across the White Sox organization, this individual should possess both the organizational and creative skills to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives at any given time. This role will work cross-functionally with multiple departments at the White Sox as well as with representatives from Major League Baseball.
Job responsibilities:
As the Marketing & Advertising Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of marketing tasks such as email and paid digital content development, scheduling and sending White Sox marketing emails, reporting digital marketing performance, developing cross-channel copy, and scheduling and trafficking media. In this role, you will develop skills needed to work across many marketing channels, such as Email, Website, Out-of-Home, and many others.
More specifically, this role will be responsible for the following:
• Report to the Digital Marketing Manager, while collaborating with the Senior Coordinator of Ticket Marketing on the following initiatives:
• Lead the day-to-day development and execution of email marketing efforts
• Bring a ''test and learn'' mentality to optimizing subject lines, content, and copy throughout the email process
• Support the creation, execution, and reporting of digital and traditional media campaigns
• Produce cross-channel copy, including but not limited to TV, radio, email, social, and digital display
• Collaborate with creative and content teams to develop high-quality marketing assets, in an organized and efficient manner
• Monitor rotation of creative assets to ensure promotions are timely and relevant
• Prepare weekly media schedules and assist with the trafficking of creative assets to media partners and MLB
• Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to ensure all requested emails are created and scheduled with appropriate lead time
• Prepare daily in-game TV and radio advertisements for all departments
• Help facilitate ticket requests for media partners
Qualifications:
• We are looking to fill this role with a highly organized self-starter who can work well across departments.
• 1-3 years of hands-on digital marketing or marketing/advertising experience with responsibilities that include developing content, executing multi-channel campaigns and reporting on key performance metrics (open rate, click rate, revenue, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) who can communicate effectively with individuals from different departments and at different levels
• An ability to work well under strict deadlines
• Familiarity with measurement and communication of traditional marketing KPIs
• Experience acting in a project management capacity with the ability to efficiently balance multiple projects without sacrificing deliverable quality
• A desire to evolve the White Sox organization's existing marketing and advertising strategy into something more robust and impactful
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Passion for baseball and sports is a plus
