Position Overview
The Chicago White Sox Business Strategy & Analytics Department is responsible for supporting the creative development and execution of long-term growth initiatives of the team in terms of both revenue and fans. We are dedicated to continuously learning more about fans of the Chicago White Sox and focus on improving customer facing revenue streams (e.g. tickets, sponsorship, merchandise, concessions), growing fan engagement, and optimizing marketing effectiveness across channels. We serve as consultants on the strategic direction for the company and on individual initiatives. The department's overall vision is to be a fan insight hub for the entire organization, delivering timely data and insights to key decision makers across our business operations.
The Analyst, CRM & Strategy will work cross functionally with a fan-focused, data driven lens to drive revenue and increase operational efficiency across the organization. The role will support several internal departments on various strategic priorities including improving fan experience, growing the fanbase, and implementing sustainable, data driven business processes. This individual will maintain CRM reporting, processes, and campaigns. Job requirements include experience working with relational databases, managing CRM and CDP systems, being proficient in Tableau (or other similar data visualization tools), and demonstrating the ability to think strategically.
An ideal candidate will:

• Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally
• Have experience working with CRM, CDP, and data warehouse systems
• Expertise in designing effective charts, graphs, and visualizations
Job Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Analytics
• Improving the fan experience:
• Champion the implementation of closed-loop feedback systems for season ticket holders, group buyers, and single game buyers
• • Maintain CRM processes and campaigns to ensure we cultivate meaningful and lasting relationships with our fans
• • Implementing sustainable business processes:
• Design and implement fan focused, data driven business processes across the organization including the areas of lead management, sales rep enablement, and onboarding for new clients/fans
• • Reporting and dashboards:
• Build and refine dashboards to support overall business operations and provide clear insight into historical, current, and projected performance
• • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal and external reporting across the organization
• CRM and Database Management
• Support business strategy and analytics in identifying, structuring, and prioritizing opportunities within the CRM environment
• Be a key team member in implementing cross-functional projects to improve fan experience and business results by successfully integrating and synchronizing people, process, and technology
• Support ticket sales and marketing with lead identification, cleansing, scoring, and distribution process
• Support ticket sales and service campaign management and analysis
• Support adoption of CRM across the organization
• Work with teammates in Business Strategy & Analytics and IT to maintain, enhance, and expand the data pipelines flowing into and out of the White Sox Data Warehouse
• Monitor data health and quality across all databases and support key integrations to ensure accuracy and usability of data
• Stay up to date on the latest trends in CRM and database management to make sure we are most effectively capturing, storing, and visualizing data in an accurate way for key partners
Qualifications / Characteristics Required for Success in the Role
We are looking to place a highly organized self-starter who can work well across departments to fill this role. You could be a potential match if you have a strong mix of the following:
• Bachelor's degree with a consistent track record of professional and personal achievement
• Must be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruption
• Strong business acumen and application of data and insights to business strategy
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Proficiency in SQL (R or Python a plus) and familiarity with relational databases and data warehouses
• Strong visual design skills and experience building and interpreting Tableau dashboards and reports (or an equivalent visualization software)
• Experience with CRM and CDP systems, preferably with experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• A strong desire to work for a high profile, small business
