Part Time Unpaid Internship
The Chicago Sky Cares is looking for individuals interested in becoming a member of our game day activation team! This opportunity will allow individuals to gain invaluable experience in game-day planning, implementation, and execution of activation and engagements! This position is ideal for students and graduates looking to gain immediate industry experience! The ideal candidate should have previous customer service experience and be well prepared to engage and interact with fans!
Responsibilities:
• Engage fans through various activations including but not limited to 50/50, apparel and program sales
• Assist in Sky Cares sponsor and partner activation games and events
• Facilitate set-up and takedown of events and game-days
• Work individually and with team members to complete assigned game day objectives
• Provide assistance to fans during games
• Represent The Chicago Sky and Chicago Sky Cares in a respectful and appropriate manner
Criteria & Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills
• Detail-oriented
• Very organized
• Comfortable meeting, speaking and interacting with fans
• Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for working in sports
• Live in Chicago-land Area and have access to reliable transportation
• Required to work Chicago Sky Events/Games (weekdays, nights and weekends may apply)
Knowledge, enthusiasm, and interest in the Chicago Sky, women's professional sports, and the greater Chicago community preferred. Sports Marketing & Management, Sports Administration, or related business majors preferred. Candidates must be able to travel to the Sky main office in Chicago, IL and to various events around the Chicago-land area. This position reports directly to the Sky Cares Community Operations Manager. This is an unpaid internship and academic credit is available upon request.
