Associate, Brand Programs (Part-Time)
JOB TITLE: Associate, Brand Programs
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
REPORTS TO: Senior Coordinator, Brand Activation
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
ROLE
This role will support the Senior Coordinator of Brand Activation and Coordinator of Game Entertainment in assisting with all administrative tasks in flawlessly executing gameday entertainment and other flagship brand events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Help manage the movement of special guests, talent, celebrities, and Cubs alumni throughout the ballpark on gameday.
• Assist with the executional coordination of MLB Play Ball, Cubs Hall of Fame induction ceremony and other brand events.
• Assist with planning logistics related to experiential programs such as Cubs Destinations, Cubs Fan Clubs and Kids Initiatives.
• Assist with the execution of special events related to Cubs Destinations, Cubs Fan Clubs and Kids Initiatives.
• Monitor the cubskids@cubs.com inbox and provide quality customer service to Cubs fans and brand program members in a timely fashion.
• Support the team's logistical preparations as needed.
• Provide on-site staffing support during Convention weekend.
• Coordinate Cubs alumni travel throughout the regular season including booking hotels, flights and ground transportation.
• Track and manage team purchasing card expenses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Demonstrated strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills
• Demonstrated experience in client and customer service
• Experience working in entertainment event planning
• Demonstrated creativity, organizational, and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload; take ownership and administer projects with little guidance
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products including Excel and Outlook
• Flexibility and ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 4-year undergraduate degree in marketing, business, or communications from an accredited university
• Proven experience securing entertainment and performances
• Strong baseball knowledge and understanding of Cubs history and fan base
• 2 years demonstrated success in event planning and execution
• Self-starter with leadership aptitude
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills among all organizational levels
• Ability to make decisions and work under pressure
• Previous event experience with entertainment ties in the Chicagoland area
