POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Chicago Bulls are seeking a talented, creative, and driven individual with an outgoing personality, and a love for basketball to fill the position of Game Presentation Coordinator. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for assisting in all home game talent bookings and event production. In addition, you will grow within our dynamic team, coordinate game presentation and entertainment and handle sponsorship and group ticket sales activations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Game Presentation Coordinator, you will have hands-on involvement in a variety of entertainment initiatives that support our strategic direction to provide our fans with an extraordinary experience and create the energy of the game situation to ultimately create home-court advantage for our basketball team. More specifically, you are responsible for the following:
• Prepare entertainment and sponsored elements for all home games.
• Book all national anthems and assist with halftime acts during home games.
• Coordinate day-of event logistics for any outside talent performing.
• Create and manage a budget for outside entertainment fees and hospitality.
• Serve as the Floor Director on game nights who will direct talent in/out of the Entertainment Tunnel and on/off the court.
• Partner with part-time Game Presentation Assistants in staging talent, audio equipment, props, etc.
• Assist in execution of video shoots (Media Day, Marketing Day, Digital Short films, etc.)
• Assist in maintaining season-long game programming and entertainment schedule.
• Plan, coordinate and implement game presentation (neutral-site games, college tournaments, video elements, in-game elements, music, etc.)
• Work intensively with our Partnership Marketing team to assist with the development, production, and execution of game-related programming to maximize both entertainment value for our fans and the sponsors' business objective.
• Serve as the department's main liaison to the United Center Building Operations team to communicate any necessary logistical game and event needs, which will include, conversions, event set-up, back-of-house set-up, equipment load-in/out, electrical, audio equipment, tech, housekeeping, parking, security, etc.
• Maintain our in-house and off-site storage facilities.
• Track proper inventory of all props, equipment and special theme costumes, and handle any additional procurement, equipment maintenance and repair.
• Help research new entertainment acts, music and creative promotions or video concepts.
• Assist with auditions for various performance groups (Luvabulls, IncrediBulls, BullsKidz, Swingin' Seniors, etc.).
• Build and execute internal events (Season Ticket Holder Family Fest, An Evening With The Chicago Bulls, Sponsor Bowling Party, Kids Clinic, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1 - 3 years of Sports, Entertainment or Live production experience
• Photoshop or video editing experience is a plus
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Highly organized and strong time management abilities
• Strong communication (both written and verbal)
• Social skills that reflect exclusive examples of professionalism, preparation, collaboration, service and creativity.
• Works effectively and quickly in a dynamic environment
• Initiative and dedication to challenge self and continually strive for improvement
Please note that this role requires flexible hours and are subject to change based on NBA schedules. You can expect to work during regular business hours as well as during games and non-game events.
