JOB OVERVIEW:
The Chicago Bulls are seeking a highly motivated and creative self-starter to fill the position of an Editor on our BullsTV team. The BullsTV team is the unique in-house, mixed media production arm within the Marketing & Communications Department that produces and edits original content, including in-game, TV and social video content that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team.
As the Editor, you will partner closely with our production team in all aspects of post-production by crafting industry-leading digital video content for online, and mobile distribution by the Chicago Bulls.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will work closely with the team to edit content based on editorial goals. These goals will include content that appeals to sports fans, serve our Corporate Partners and extends our brand. More specifically, you will be responsible for the following:
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with Senior Producer and Executive Producer.
• Ensure accuracy of all post-production delivery and all video content conforms that follow brand style guidelines / standards.
• Manage daily schedules and workflow for our Assistant Editor.
• Edit video elements which include, long-form, doc-style, all-access programming, raw interviews, produced video, still photos, video highlights, audio and graphics.
• Build and integrate graphics.
• Transcoding multiple HD file formats, logging and selecting footage, music and sound design implementation, web encoding/posting and finish prep.
• Insert and manipulate pre-produced graphics and animation packages.
• Encode and export videos in various formats for delivery on multiple platforms.
• Manage and organize footage on a server / LTO tape.
• Maintain Adobe Premiere Pro editing systems and perform routine maintenance and upgrades.
• Present ideas and opportunities for improving the visual delivery of the video programs and content that is being produced.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-3 years of professional experience in post-production
• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on Adobe Premiere Pro.
• After Effects and Photoshop experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of camera workflows / codecs: HD/4K cameras (Sony FS7), Red, Canon Cinema EOS series, DSLR.
• Familiarity with horizontal (16x9), square (1x1), and vertical (9x16) digital formats
• Light and shoot video experience is ideal. This includes operating equipment, executing shot composition, delivering quality audio, and maintaining the equipment
• Excellent teammate, with positive energy, who has a desire to learn

• Strong communication (both written and verbal) with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely

Please note that this role requires flexible hours and are subject to change based on NBA and editorial schedules. You can expect to work during regular business hours as well as during games and non-game events.
