This is a Full Time Paid Internship
Position Overview
Hornets Sports & Entertainment is looking for a college student to serve as an intern for the Sales department. The Sales and Services intern will be a vital part of assisting the Hornets sales team in multiple aspects of selling, fulfilling and executing sales initiatives. The position will gain hands-on experience in sales and marketing through implementing and planning.
This is a non-paid internship, a stipend is provided for transportation, food and parking expenses. You will need to be able to work 20-40 hours per week. You are required to receive academic credit. Hours will include most arena events, throughout the semester that may occur on evenings and/or weekends, including Arena Events and Hornets games.
The Summer 2019 program runs from May 29, 2019 to August 9, 2019.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Help provide qualified leads
• Perform basic office tasks including copying, filing, data entry, and faxing
• Assisting sales staff on community outreach events and special Hornets events.
• Assisting ticket sales department with day to day tasks and requests
• Execute in creating and providing sales materials as needed
• Assist with research projects as assigned
• Perform inventory management and assist with merchandising requests
