Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning social issue documentary film company - Chain Camera Pictures, led by Directors Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering, is seeking an Information Manager / Researcher / Producer's Assistant to join our team. Duties will include extensive research + information compiling/organizing. Candidates must be impeccably organized, painstakingly detail oriented, punctual, and have experience and/or passion for work on documentary projects.
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be masterful in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word) and Google applications. Must be able to manage complex schedules and heavy email workload; and fit our criteria outlined below. Please note this is an Entry Level Position.
Responsibilities include:
• Daily intake, summarizing and tracking of breaking news
• Investigative research projects as delegated
• Providing succinct + concise research reports for team
• Keeping lists consistent + up to date across multiple platforms
• Maintaining comprehensive knowledge and database of all interview and verite subjects and subject outreach, setting reminders as delegated
• Managing ever-growing content & research lists
• Immaculate information compiling/organizing
• Organizing, updating and filing all content related documents such as pitches, treatments
• Providing creative feedback/input/ideas for team
The ideal candidate will:
• 1-2 year commitment
• Have minimum 1-2 year of related experience
• Create and manage the most clean and flawless spreadsheets you've ever seen
• Have a passion for and mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google Drive
• Possess a professional demeanor and meticulous attention to detail
• Have a ''no task too small'' attitude
• Have impeccable common sense/intuition, and thorough follow through
• Be a passionate, dedicated hard-worker, who doesn't mind being on call after hours
• Be a forward thinker, who grows to anticipate tasks before being asked
• Possess strong multitasking abilities
• Obsessive reader & researcher a plus
• Background in journalism and/or psychology a plus
• Past documentary work experience a HUGE plus
