Overview and Responsibilities
CBS Sports seeks a Programming Manager to centralize coverage of all domestic and international soccer properties! These include but not limited to UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Europa Conference League, Serie A, NWSL, Concacaf, Brasileiro, Argentina Football Association, Asian Football Confederation, Women's Super League, Scottish Premiere League and other domestic/international soccer properties that get added moving forward.
Specific Responsibilities
• Strategize distribution platform exposure for all 2500 soccer matches, including studio support and original programming.
• Act as the central communication source for all soccer scheduling. Responsible for disseminating information across all departments: Production, Operations, Marketing, Communications, Digital, etc by crafting a central soccer programming grid to share acrossCBS Sports and Paramount that tracks domestic and international distribution.
• Manage the relationships with the individual soccer properties to build annual schedules prior to and ongoing throughout the season.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to prioritize specifics of the promotional plan.
• Work within the Programming infrastructure to strategize linear and digital schedules with the goal of maximizing viewership and crafting a diversified portfolio of content.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years' experience in programming, operations, production or another relevant department.
• Deep institutional knowledge of international soccer
• Experience managing relationships/partnership
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with numbers.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Additional Qualifications
• BA/BS degree highly preferred
• Proficiency in network scheduling systems
• Knowledge of television programming industry
• Experience in quantitative research (ratings) and/or finance
• Excellent collaborative skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
