Programming Associate - Soccer (Freelance)

CBS Sports Digital's multi-platform offerings include CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices; the 24/7 streaming sports news network CBS Sports HQ; 247Sports; MaxPreps; CBS Sports fantasy games; and SportsLine.

As CBS Sports expands its soccer programming with a new 24/7/365 Golazo soccer network, how programming is presented across a myriad of distribution partners is a key to engaging with audiences.

The programming associate (soccer) will handle programming data, partner distribution, live event and VOD curation across our platforms.

The role will work closely with production to identify opportunities to elevate programming that will reach soccer fans around the world!

Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Schedule programming blocks in content management distribution tools for Golazo Network across owned and operated platforms and partner services
• Collaborate with design, marketing, programming, PR and other internal teams to source necessary programming metadata and images on a rolling basis
• Provide daily quality assurance; flag display issues and display problems to necessary teams when appropriate i.e. Gracenote
• Drive awareness to key upcoming Golazo programming in monthly meetings with Paramount partners (Pluto, P )
• Assist Programming Manager with live event tile curation across owned and operated apps
• Manage the Golazo Channel arena page, soccer arena page and all VOD shelves associated with soccer across owned and operated CBS Sports platforms (OTT, Desktop, Mobile)
• Support CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports HQ EPG management when needed
• Provide support for non-soccer-related video properties across the CBS Sports app when needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working for a digital, broadcast or streaming company
• Minimum 1-2 years working in media
• In-depth global soccer knowledge!
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities and experience working across teams in a media organization
• Strong ability to keep open lines of communication on a team
• A knack for delivering clear, conscientious feedback to collaborators
• Must be able to work occasional weekends and nights

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $55,000.00 - 65,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
