Producer - Sportsline (Freelance)
CBS Sports also delivers an extensive lineup of global soccer coverage on Paramount , including every UEFA club competition match, all Serie A matches as well as Concacaf national team competitions, and produces INSIDE THE NFL for Paramount . CBS Sports Digital's multi-platform offerings include CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports apps for mobile and connected TV devices; the 24/7 streaming sports news network CBS Sports HQ; 247Sports; MaxPreps; CBS Sports fantasy games; and SportsLine.
The Producer will be responsible for program development, creative and editorial direction, and programming block hours, working with editorial management for the content vision of SportsLine. Other responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day editorial for program hours and coordinate content integration across platforms
Your Day-to-Day:
• Responsible for program development, creative and editorial vision of CBS Sports Digital SportsLine
• Coach and mentor show staff
• Discuss day-of correspondent requests with the assignment desk team
• Work closely with CBS Sports Broadcast teams to provide on-air tie-ins to material across all CBS Sports digital platforms
• Develop innovative content for CBS Sports Digital platforms
• Work closely with other departments to execute exceptional live SportsLine content
What you bring to the team:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 4-6 years of experience at a senior level, including running control room, stacking a rundown, juggling live breaking news, strong writing and copy editing skills
• Must have at least 3 years of Line Producing experience
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
• The schedules will rotate but must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and overnights
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed
• Must thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
• Exceptional editorial skills
