CBS Television WPCW Pittsburgh is looking for a creative and dedicated Photojournalist to join the CBS Pittsburgh News Team! Candidate should have a strong dedication to visual storytelling with excellent photography and editing skills and assist our Multi-Media Journalists during live shots and on assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Photojournalists applying for this position must have non-linear editing experience, knowledge of file-based video transfer, and experience as a News Photographer and Editor
• Must have the ability to operate live bonded cellular transmit units, communicate effectively, work well under pressure, have a keen knowledge of situational safety, and meet deadlines.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in a medium to large television market.

Requirements:
• Candidates will be accountable for maintaining assigned equipment, including news vehicles, cameras, lights, laptop editors, and peripheral gear, and initiating repairs when necessary.
• Must be physically able to carry, shoulder, and shoot with a broadcast ENG camera (25 lbs. or more) and carry support equipment (tripod, lights, microphones, etc.)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent news judgment and writing skills.
• Knowledge of current events.
• Must be results driven, innovative and demonstrate leadership and collaboration.
• Strong breaking news skills.
• Ability to incorporate social media and new technology into all the newscasts.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or allied filed preferred.
