Music Coordinator- CBS Sports (Freelance)The Music Department at CBS Sports works closely with the various departments, including Business Affairs, remote and studio Production, Marketing, Legal, and Rights and Clearances. They handle music clearances for all CBS Sports & CBS Sports Network content, supervise the music direction on various projects, work in the studio with the production team, submit cue sheets to the Performing Rights Organizations, and build relationships with composers and music industry representatives. This is a freelance position between September 2024-April 2025.Responsibilities • Approximately 50% of the work involves:-
• Drafting music cue sheets for our broadcast and cable networks,
• Researching copyright information
• Listening to new music sent by label/publishers/production libraries, and organizing those tracks in our music database
• Assisting in various music searches for the production team
• Assisting with the music clearance process.
• Approximately 30% of the work will involve
• Organizing the music sent to our sound engineer in the broadcast center
• Updating Excel sheets and various music-related folders
• Approximately 20% of the work will involve
• Schedule meetings with outside clients
• Attending Programming and Procedure meetingsBasic Qualifications:• Must be able to work on Saturdays when we're live in the studio
• Must be detail-oriented and willing to work in fast paced environments

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
