CBS Sports Digital -- a portfolio of premium digital sports media properties including

top-three sports property, reaching more than 70M sports fans monthly across desktop, mobile,

and connected TV devices. Our team is a diverse and agile group that effectively collaborates

with the business to shape our department.

Role Details:

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of broadcast operations and production

activities and have previous management experience. The Manager of Streaming and Video

Operations will work together with directors and producers in planning newscasts and

overseeing the crew on Newscast pre-production activities. The Manager will most importantly

lead the group of Technical Directors within the Stamford office to perform at the highest level.

Your Day-to-Day:

â- Organize schedules for all Technical Directors in your respective office

â- Coordinate with other managers to properly staff multiple entities (e.g Sportsline, CBS

Sports HQ, Paramount )

â- Train new team members on equipment and operations

â- Direct, switch, and operate audio and cameras during broadcasts. Must be able to fill in

for Tech 2, 3 or 4 when needed

â- Set up and prepare the studio for each broadcast including lighting and camera framing

â- Check in each guest/analyst via Skype, TVU, LiveU, Zoom, etc. This includes a full audio

check

â- Work closely with various Paramount Global entities to connect guests and analysts

â- Must be prepared for breaking news and postgame reactions throughout each shift at

any time

Key Projects:

Work closely with CBS Sports Broadcast to create compelling content for customers on CBS

Sports Digital platforms

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have -

â- At least 5 years of ''hands-on'' experience in the control room of television newscasts

â- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including

breaking news

â- Since the schedules will rotate, you must be able to work all shifts, including weekends

and overnights, and holidays. Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled

shift with little or no notice if needed

â- Experience with ELC OPERATIONS â€'' calling and cutting News Broadcasts, Camera

Robotics, Audio Consoles, Playout Servers, and Graphics Playback

â- Extensive knowledge of video switchers, graphics systems, server playout systems, audio

consoles and robotic camera systems is essential.
