CBS MORNINGS is seeking a hard-working, creative, and enterprising Associate Producer with strong research skills and solid writing experience. As our next multi dynamic news professional we are looking for someone with a firm command of journalistic standards, keen sense to attention and detail, with excellent newsgathering and researching skills.

Responsibilities:
• Produce live interview segments, day-of-air tape, and occasional feature packages
• Manage field and high-profile guests
• keen eye in the field, edit room, and possess a strong mastery of visual graphics and elements
• Exercise editorial judgment in selection of content
• Write copy for correspondents and anchors as well as writing for feature and news packages
• Research and write questions for anchors for guest segments
• Work with editors to turn around pre-taped segments
• Pitch & execute special, feature & recurring segments
• Responsible for finding and pulling specific video and soundbites
• Coordinate with correspondents, guests, and anchors to inform them on segment subject matter
Preferred education, experience, and certification requirements:
• 4 years work experience in TV news
• Must be willing to work on an afternoon shift (3p-11p) or overnight (10p-4a).
• Research skills and familiarity with public and private records databases, such as Lexis Nexis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with intense deadline pressure, react with sensible programming ideas and creative storytelling
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter while also taking direction from producers and senior producers
• Advanced Editorial judgment and excellent writing skills
• Understanding of newsgathering and transmission technology
