CBS Television Network is one of America's flagship television network brands built around three premier programming divisions: CBS Entertainment, CBS News and CBS Sports. CBS was established in 1928, when founder William Paley purchased 16 independent radio stations and christened them the Columbia Broadcasting system.
The Asset Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the collection and distribution of digital assets for CBS Marketing. Duties include working with multiple teams and coordinating asset delivery with external partners (e.g., productions, vendors, post houses, etc.) and internal teams (e.g., graphic designers, producers, creative directors, publicity, social, senior management, etc.).
Overview & Job Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the collection and distribution of digital assets
• Collaborate with program suppliers to coordinate the delivery of program content
• Maintain media project structures for multiple systems (e.g. Widen, Frame.io, IPV Curator, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.) and facilitate user onboarding and training
• Develop and implement new processes and mechanisms that will ultimately improve team performance, creativity, communication, and teamwork
• Work with the Manager of Asset Management and Acquisitions to liaise with various departments regarding photography, episodic materials, shoot material, stock footage, music, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years professional experience; preferably at a creative agency, entertainment, or tech company
Additional Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of project management solutions, non-linear editing, and digital asset management systems
• Knowledge of Adobe CC Libraries (e.g., PS, AI, InDesign, and After Effects)
• Experience working with digital media, including transcoding media using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder, and Compressor, etc.
• Strong knowledge of media file formats (e.g., TIF, PNG, JPEG, CR2, WMV, MOV, MP4, etc.), social media formats, and video specifications (e.g., aspect ratios, frame rates, data rates, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree with a major in television or film production preferred
• Creative problem solver who is a focused, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, that can prioritize tasks based on shifting requirements and can problem solve technical delivery issues and errors
• Comfortable in a test-and-learn environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
