CBS Television Stations consists of 28 CBS-owned stations in 17 major U.S. markets, as well as the stations' digital properties. The portfolio of stations includes 15 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates.
The station group's properties also include CBSN Local, a joint initiative with CBS Interactive that features direct-to-consumer streaming news services in the markets where the Company has local news organizations. CBS Television Stations' premium local content is also distributed to consumers by the group's websites and mobile applications.
CBS O&O in Dallas (KTVT) is looking for a dynamic and enterprising Multi Media Journalist. The MMJ will produce content for all platforms in a manner that is accurate, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.
MMJ's are responsible for enterprising content and delivering a story from start to finish. Must shoot, write, edit and have knowledge of how to integrate news graphics into packages. Candidate will have strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that arise in the field. Must also have a dynamic on-air presence and the ability to deliver final news product creatively and concisely.
Candidates must be engaged digitally and understand how to utilize multi-platform content distribution.
Physical Demands: Must be able to carry and set up a camera on a tripod, have knowledge of how to light interview subjects and how to operate edit software with speed and accuracy.
Candidate must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record in order to operate a company vehicle.
Experience working with Inews and Grass Valley is desired.
Familiarity with Zoom interviews is preferred.
Knowledge of the DFW area is extremely helpful.
Journalism or allied degree preferred.
