HR Coordinator - CBS Studios Corporate and Production HR

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the Studio's HR Director and senior leader in delivering administrative HR services to CBS Studios Corporate HR and Paramount Global Production HR. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background and dedication to a career in Human Resources, Industrial Relations and/or Organizational Development, with the interest in growing in the field by developing technical expertise in various HR subject areas!
Overview and Responsibilities:
• Heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, to coordinate a variety of complex meetings
• Process varied paperwork (e.g., termination, requisitions, badge requests, couriers, mail, UPS)
• Manage the overall Production and Corporate HR Calendar and Project Matrix for the group's HR leader, combining multiple lines of business and activities onto one main schedule
• Under general supervision and collaboration with the HR Director, handle paperwork and follow-up relating to leaves of absence, benefits; research and resolve miscellaneous issues with payroll, billing, as well as acquire approvals and track invoice payments, etc.
• Manage temp requests, requisitions and set up
• Maintain, with a high degree of accuracy, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly as well as ad/hoc reports to divisional & HR management.
• Consolidate and analyze data from training surveys and exit surveys to build reports
• Coordinate ad hoc training requests, manage RSVPs; send marketing materials to staff; run logistics for onsite sessions; research ad hoc requests from various productions, etc
• Assist with recruiting efforts such as posting roles in the Applicant Tracking System, new hire introductions, questions from new hires on process, benefits, etc
• Answer general employee questions, research problems and/or refer issues to HR Partners or specialized HR services.
• Assist with the preparation of presentation materials
• Provide ongoing support on special projects, key HR activities and business initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Labor, Administration, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of human resources related experience required, exclusive of internships preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to pursuit of a career in HR, including completion of, or enrollment combined with substantial completion of academic coursework in HR, Labor Industrial Relations, and/or Organizational Development preferred.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of basic HR areas such as Recruitment, Employee Relations, Labor, Benefits; laws and regulations such as ADA, ADEA, and Title VII, OFCCP and EEOC process and procedure, etc.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Strong diplomacy and adaptability attributes to contend with exposure to upper management required.
• The ability to plan for, prioritize and implement multiple recurring and ad hoc tasks.
• Mid-level to advanced computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must possess strong logic, reasoning, and analytical skills with utmost attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a true customer service orientation towards internal clients.
• Collaborative, team spirit.
• Absolute integrity, discretion and sensitivity to confidential company and employee information.
Additional Qualifications:
• Salesforce background as well as experience and/or facility with data management, database experience, and software a plus!
• Experience supporting HR generalist with researching and creating HR policies, cases and other HR programs (Mentor, Internship, Performance Management) preferred.
• Experience with personnel and payroll data systems (e.g. Oracle) helpful.
