CBS Saturday Morning is seeking a Broadcast Associate/Anchor Assistant! This entry-level position plays a vital role in supporting our on-air talent and production teams in a dynamic, fast-moving newsroom. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives under deadlines while maintaining professionalism and discretion. The role calls for energy, curiosity, and a can-do attitude – along with the flexibility to work early mornings, long hours, holidays, and travel at a moment’s notice when needed.

Responsibilities
• Provide daily administrative and logistical support to on-air talent, including managing calendars, schedules, travel arrangements, and on-the-road coordination
• Prepare briefing materials and script packets for morning broadcasts
• Assist during the live show with script running and production support
• Screen and organize viewer correspondence and follow up as needed
• Support news desk operations, including research, fact checking, and assistance during breaking news and special reports
• Help gather story elements, research feature pieces, develop story pitches, and log material with producers
• Attend editorial meetings
• Maintain discretion, professionalism, and flexibility in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications
• College degree or equivalent work experience on a news broadcast
• Demonstrated interest in news and current events
• Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Discretion and professionalism in protecting the privacy of on-air talent
• Forward-thinking and dependable, with the ability to manage extensive travel and shifting priorities
• Willingness to work early mornings, flexible hours (including overnights), holidays, and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive
