Tape Prep Technician

Freelance SAMMA Tape Prep Technician
• Temporary, full-time freelance position (40 hours/week for ~2 months)
• Rate: $24.04/hour
• Location: CBS News Archives, Metropark
• Responsibilities include physical preparation of videotapes for digitization, including barcoding, labeling, and organizing tape metadata
• Tapes may require cleaning and/or transport for baking
• Must be able to lift and move heavy boxes of tapes as needed
• No digitization or technical encoding required; this is strictly preparation work prior to ingest
• Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently or with minimal supervision
