KCBS2/KCAL9, the CBS Owned & Operated Duopoly in Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior Producer â€''someone who can be an immediate standout in a newsroom that produces eleven and a half hours of news a day! The ideal candidate for this position would have a wide variety of producing experience. We are looking for someone who has worked as a newscast line producer, as a field or investigative unit producer and has produced half hour and hour specials. If you feel like you've done it all and are looking for that next big challenge, this may be the spot for you.
Must be able to work with a large and diverse staff in a professional manner. Experience with Avid I-News, and Grass Valley group server and newsroom editing systems a plus.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Newswriting, line producing and field producing background.
• collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel to create compelling content.
• maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
• generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings
• at least five years of experience, preferably in a top 20 market
• strong people skills.
• other duties as assigned.
• prior management experience
• experience with avid i-news, and grass valley group server and newsroom editing systems a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
College degree required or equivalent experience
