CBS3, KYW-TV / The CW Philly 57 / WPSG-TV, is looking for a dynamic news producer ready to make their mark! The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, excellent news judgment and advanced storytelling abilities.
We're looking for more than a show stacker! You will lead all aspects of the production of a newscast, and should be able to use the power of words and video to drive forward segment ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Originate, research, lead, write, produce, and edit engaging news segments.
• Work closely with the team to ensure detailed coordination and execution of news stories, both on-air and online.
• Showcase adaptability and composure in the fast-paced control room environment, ensuring our news broadcasts run efficiently and effectively.
• Uphold impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced, ensuring top-notch quality.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience producing experience, preferably in a professional newsroom.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to quickly review and revise scripts.
• Proven news judgment and expertise in handling breaking news and live shots.
• Ability to excel under fast paced, time-critical situations, and multitask optimally.
• A degree or equivalent experience in broadcast journalism or a related field is preferred
