We're looking for more than a show stacker! You will lead all aspects of the production of a newscast and occasionally produce content for our streaming platform. You may assist with digital, social, and breaking news coverage. Responsibilities include, but not limited to writing, producing, and editing content. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to cover other shifts and breaking news.

Key Responsibilities:
• Originate, research, lead, write, produce, and edit engaging news segments.
• Work closely with the team to ensure detailed coordination and execution of news stories, both on-air and online.
• Showcase adaptability and composure in the fast-paced control room environment, ensuring our news broadcasts run efficiently and effectively.
• Uphold impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail in all content produced, ensuring top-notch quality.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience producing experience, preferably in a professional newsroom.
• Proficiency in non-linear editing.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to quickly review and revise scripts.
• Proven news judgment and expertise in handling breaking news and live shots.
• Ability to excel under fast paced, time-critical situations, and multitask optimally.
• A degree or equivalent experience in broadcast journalism or a related field is preferred.
• Passion for news, journalism, and social media. This position may include overnight and/or weekend responsibilities.
