Overview and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Special Projects Producer to work closely with the Director of Community Impact on content that sets us apart and aligns with our brand initiatives. This person will be responsible for producing investigative, community, and partner stories in collaboration with the CTS Innovation Lab.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Content Development: Generate creative and original ideas, research, and produce impactful longform projects for newscasts, specials, and streaming content. Prioritize original and timely projects that resonate with a broad audience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with reporters, producers, photographers, and managers to enhance and expand existing content. Write scripts both independently and with team members.
• Production: Partner with a video editor to capture and edit video content.
• Visual Design: Collaborate with graphic artists and editors to build visual themes and graphic designs that enhance storytelling.
• Timely Production: Quickly develop and finalize content to capitalize on major stories and breaking news opportunities.
• Organizational Skills: Demonstrate excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage several projects optimally and efficiently.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong storytelling and writing skills.
• Proven experience in video production and editing.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen eye for visual design and branding.
Additional Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience writing and editing preferred.
• College degree preferred.
