Position: Producer (For Broadcast)
Location: WJZ-TV, Baltimore
WJZ is looking for a dynamic Producer to work on Broadcast.
The role requires close coordination with News Managers, Assignment Desk, Digital Team and Broadcast Line Producers. You will create a compelling show based on the news of the day while meeting WJZ brand objectives.
Responsibilities include:
• Formatting and managing a daily broadcast.
• Assist fellow Producers and managers to lead a team of anchors, reporters, photographers, editors and writers.
• Help with daily production, content and aggressive execution of news.
• Write scripts for your show and assist other producers
• Anticipate the needs of the show regarding video, graphics, scripts and other elements.
• Follow the news and produce content in a compelling way
• Develop creative presentation of news and produce highly creative teases
Qualifications
/Skills:
• Two years' experience in creating and building show rundowns in broadcast or digital environment preferred or strong experience in a college journalism program
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under extremely deadlines
• Availability to work night or weekends.
