Job Summary:

Can you take the lead for writing connected content? And edit stories with ease? Are you able to work with new and existing talent to create compelling content daily? Applicant should be able to edit and write for news online and on-air. Primary Responsibilities:
• Edit daily news stories.
• Write daily news stories.
• Work under daily deadlines as well as long form content to air later.
• Edit, write for sports coverage as needed.
• Be a consistent producer of content and have flexibility in scheduling.
Required Skills:
• Ability to multi-task and create edited and written content under constant deadline pressure.
• Provide leadership and communicate with all the newscast staff on upcoming content.
• Excellent broadcast and digital writing skills.
• Ability to understand news stories, how they impact our community and how to best communicate that with words and visuals.
• Able to use and lead multiple resources to produce compelling content including: video, sound, graphics.
• Be a teammate with great people skills who can take direction from managers and execute the station's mission for our brand.
Minimum Education and Requirements:
• College Degree preferred
• At least two years' experience editing and writing preferred
• Familiarity with non-linear editing and playback systems preferred
• Must be able to work all shifts.
