CBS News Bay Area is looking for a Digital Supervising Producer to lead editorial content on kpix.com!
The digital supervising producer will help manage a team of web producers and develop strategies that align with the CBS News Bay Area brand, “Our stories define usâ€.
We are looking for an excellent writer, editor and digital strategist who will lead by example through writing stories, tracking their progress and sharing what’s working with the entire team. The ideal candidate should bring expertise on driving engagement on the web site, station social media accounts and emerging platforms.
The DSP will guide the digital team on breaking news, making sure critical information reaches users on all platforms. They should have expertise in SEO and be able to interpret audience data and discover trends.
Requirements
• 3 years of experience producing content for television, online, or newspaper web; Previous digital management/leadership preferred.
• Must have strong writing and editing skills that reflect the highest standards of journalism.
• Knowledge of Prism, Akta, Chartbeat, Social News Desk, Tagboard, YouTube are required.
• Should have knowledge of the digital media landscape and new technologies.
• Must have willingness to innovate in rapidly changing environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $95,000.00 - 117,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
