Digital Content Producer, 60 Minutes

Overview and Responsibilities:

60 Minutes is seeking a Digital Producer to help write and produce multimedia news segments for the digital platforms of 60 Minutes! The Producer will be working alongside an Editor as part of a Producer/Editor team working to tell stories in the style and tradition of 60 Minutes, geared towards digital audiences on a variety of platforms. The candidate should be an initiative-taker, who enjoys pitching creative ideas and seeing them through to execution and measurement. A strong writer is required, who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative edit process.

Qualifications:

• Newsroom experience in digital, print, or broadcast is required.
• Experience fact-checking scripts, articles, or broadcast stories preferred.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to write compelling, accurate, thoughtful news copy, including articles, for multiple
• digital platforms.
• A willingness to work flexible hours as the production schedule dictates.
• Proficient in crafting headlines for web videos.
• Experience scripting and producing content for web-based or linear outlets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• A passion for news.
• Experience conducting recorded interviews where only the subject is seen or heard.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $72,900.00 - 99,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
