Creative Director
Location: New York, NY (Fully Remote)

CBS News & Stations is seeking a Creative Director to oversee all visual communication efforts for its news and broadcast platforms. This role requires a hands-on design expert capable of developing major design initiatives and brand identity across CBS News, CBS Stations, and CBS Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate project briefs into creative visual language and design
• Lead the execution of brand design systems, graphics packages, and breaking news/event creative
• Manage relationships with external vendors and freelancers
• Develop and maintain brand identity across multiple CBS platforms
• Oversee set design, AR/VR, and other tools that enhance news presentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to advance visual communication and creative strategies
• Utilize deep knowledge of Chyron Prime, Viz, Cinema 4D, and After Effects in design processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially motion design
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, including applying technology to design workflows
• Experience in broadcast, including on-air graphics and templating
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build style frames and storyboards to guide the creative process
• A passion for local news and a public service mindset
• Portfolio and references required

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $190,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability benefits, tuition assistance, and paid time off. This position is also bonus-eligible.
