Coordinating Producer, White House Unit

CBS News is seeking a Coordinating Producer for its White House unit with strong editorial, logistical, and communication skills. The candidate will organize editorial coverage across the beat, manage schedules for correspondents and producers, plan long-term field assignments for domestic and foreign trips, and collaborate with senior management. The Coordinating Producer will also travel, gather news, and produce segments for CBS News platforms when needed.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of 3-4 correspondents and 7-8 producers/reporters.
• Provide consistent editorial leadership and direction for team members.
• Organize and clearly communicate daily schedules and assignments.
• Plan unilateral coverage of foreign and domestic travel.
• Coordinate with bureau management on long-term goals.
• Write, produce, and file reports for CBS News platforms.
• Some travel expected based on unit needs.
• Appropriately represent CBS News in public settings, including social media.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working at a news organization, with proven field and newsroom reporting experience.
• Management experience is a bonus.

Hiring Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000
