AR/VR Integration Manager

CBS News and Stations is hiring a creative and enterprising Augmented and Virtual Reality Integration Manager to assist in leading the integration and deployment of News, Elections, and Weather data-driven immersive environments for live local and national broadcasts! Primary objectives are to act as liaison between the creative, production, and backend development teams, to ensure delivery of assets following timely deadlines, and bug-free functionality, as we work to develop and integrate an industry-leading, fully immersive, virtual and augmented reality system across CBS News and Stations.
• Proven Knowledge of AR/VR, and Virtual Production technologies.
• Work closely with Design teams and Creative Personnel, as they Model, Texture, and Shade 3D assets, with performance within Unreal Engine in mind from conception to delivery.
• Work closely with Developers and Engineers, to ensure event-based Workflows in Unreal Engine, structure of middleware API payloads, and UI Workflows conform to our performance standards, in Conception, Development, Testing, and Production phases.
• Work closely with Production teams, to ensure end user execution aligns with company standards for Live Television Production workflows, and Production Automation Systems.
• Help enforce compliance of standards for software and environment architecture to ensure enterprise-level system design meets requirements for duplication, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with other technology teams and team leaders, business partners, news, weather, and creative service departments, in developing and implementing AR/VR solutions.
• Understanding of the live broadcast production process.
• Capable of excelling in a dynamic work setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years in AR/VR production.
• Strong background in AR/VR development.
• Expert proficiency with Unreal Engine Development, Blueprinting, and other AR/VR platforms and interfaces.
• Expert background in 3D Modeling Software suites.
• Expert background in Version Control Systems, for text-based, and binary assets.
• Well-organized, Project Management skills.
• Understanding of live broadcast workflows and systems.
• AGILE Software Development knowledge required.
• BA/BS Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Knowledge of motion tracking systems.
• Travel required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $130,000.00 - 140,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
