CBS-Los Angeles, including CBS2/KCAL9, is seeking an Administrative Assistant. This role will provide a variety of administrative, clerical, and staff support duties in a fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-task environment.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to the following:
• Prepare and administer purchase requisitions from Oracle Procurement software and related vendor invoices for Engineering and related technical departments.
• Process supply purchasing, reconcile invoices for capital purchases and other Engineering and Facilities expenses.
• Address vendor inquiries regarding unpaid invoices and research past due statements.
• Phone operator duties including screening and forwarding calls to appropriate Station personnel, and providing information to viewers regarding programming, news stories, etc.
• Provide administrative support to various other departments as needed.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
/Experience:
• Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in use of MS Office applications.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Must be able to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
Preferred Skills
/Experience:
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant.
• Familiarity with News Broadcasting or similar environment.
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar purchasing/payables software.
Education
Level:
College degree preferred.
