Full Time Paid Internship
Summer Paid Intern - Multimedia Journalism , Inside Edition
Role Details:
The Multimedia Journalism Intern will assist in all aspects of storytelling, from pitching stories to publishing content. At the beginning of the summer, this intern will have the ability to pitch their own original idea and complete it by the end of their internship.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Participate in regular departmental meetings and check-ins
• Pitch and research story ideas daily
• Secure and conduct interviews over the phone and Zoom
• Secure permissions for video and photos, and gather assets for projects
• Write text to accompany videos for our digital platforms and partners
• Research industry developments and present highlights to our senior team on a weekly basis
• Complete other daily tasks as required by the digital team
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, EST)
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
Required:
• College classes in journalism, communications, or related field
• Newsgathering experience
• Video production and post-production experience preferred
• Love for digital media and social platforms
• Must be a quick, eager standout colleague who pays attention to detail
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or boot camp
• Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred:
• Experience crafting content for social platforms
• Photoshop skills
