Full Time Paid Internship
The intern will work within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounting teams to provide support for month end close and reporting, monthly forecasting, accrual analysis and calculation, business partnership, and ad hoc projects. This internship offers excellent training and mentoring as well as exposure to high-level management and strategic and analytical functions. It is ideal for a student who wishes to explore and/or pursue a career in Finance or Accounting.
Role Responsibilities:
• Perform various aspects of monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, research, and account reconciliations
• Participate in weekly/monthly reporting to management
• Assist in preparation of Internal Audit and revenue true-up reconciliations
• Work with FP&A and Accounting teams to compare variances of actual results to forecast
• Assist in forecasting Central revenue and expense accounts
• Meet with key leaders in the business and support sound financial planning efforts
• Own ad-hoc projects as they arise
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, times vary per team)
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
• Student who is actively pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Ability to pick up new skills quickly
• Proven leadership ability
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Willing and open to learning and to new ideas
• Must have the highest ethical standards and the ability to discretely and responsibly deal with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with co-workers in a team environment
• 3.0 GPA or above
Additional Requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be at least 18 years old
