Full Time Paid Internship
Division Overview:
CBS Interactive has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Intern in San Francisco. This role will work collaboratively with the accounting team on account reconciliations and audit. We are looking for a quality individual who takes initiative, has pride in their work, thrives in a high-tech friendly environment and who is driven, enthusiastic, thoughtful, collaborative and proactive in their approach.
Role Details:
The intern will work within our accounting team to provide support for month end close and reporting, monthly forecasting, accrual analysis and calculation, business partnership, and ad hoc projects. This internship offers excellent training and mentoring as well as exposure to high-level management and strategic and analytical functions. It is ideal for a student who wishes to explore and/or pursue a career in Finance or Accounting.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Participate in weekly/monthly reporting to management
• Assist with year-end tax packages preparation
• General Ledger account reconciliations and research
• Record Journal Entries for month-end close
• Engage in SOX testing
• Support Accounting team with on-demand projects
Logistics
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week.
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:

You have –
• Student who is actively pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance
You might also have –
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Ability to pick up new skills quickly
• Proven leadership abilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
• Willing and open to learning and to new ideas
• Must have the highest ethical standards and the ability to discreetly and responsibly deal with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with co-workers in a team environment
Additional requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or bootcamp
• Must be at least 18 years old
