CastingAbout is seeking a full-time Project Researcher to join us in our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and updating our proprietary database of casting and production information.
• Coordinating and cross-checking source data with other Breakdown Services researchers.
• Reviewing and verifying leads from multiple sources.
• Verifying information through direct communication with casting and production offices.
• Creating original content for website (e.g. project log lines, public notes, memos to members, etc.).
• Posting information updates to social networking sites.
• Participating in heated office discussions over lunchtime pizza toppings.
• Fielding inquiries about the service from casting directors, talent reps and other industry pros.
• Other duties as position and company grow.
Qualified candidates will have working knowledge of the theatrical casting process and familiarity with the roles of casting directors, agents and managers, studio execs and actors in the casting process. Attention to detail is a must, as are exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Data management experience preferred. Computer, internet and web browser proficiency required.
