Casting Society of America New York Coordinator
CSA is seeking a part-time Coordinator in the New York Area. This position is approximately 10 hours a week on average. This is a remote position with flexible hours, excluding monthly meetings in Manhattan. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Must be a New York local to attend events and meetings.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
· Administration
- Manage New York Board meetings, including but not limited to scheduling, coordinating RSVPs and headcount, procuring and setting up food, setting up the room, setting up dial-in, taking minutes in the room, breaking down the meeting room, distributing minutes to invitees/attendees/National Branch
- Maintain records of board activities
- Maintain calendar of New York CSA Events
- Prepare preliminary Chapter budget
- Call in and take notes of the monthly National Board meeting and be the liaison for general information (this requires evening time)
· Communication
- Act as Chapter Board point of contact for members seeking assistance
- Serve as secondary for scheduling and creating content for social media accounts
· Membership
- Maintain contact lists of NY community members
- Facilitate communication to the New York Community List
- Prep for and facilitate the Annual Community meeting
· Coordination of Board Volunteers
- Facilitate New York Board Elections and New York Artios Voting
- Assist the Chapter president in any Board-related needs
- Assist in event coordination, including but not limited to coordination of prep work for events email blasts, securing space, etc.
Position Requirements:
- Must be detailed oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Can efficiently move through meeting minutes
- Must be an effective communicator and have an ability to form consensus
- Must be a self-motivated worker
- Project management, office management, and/or event production skills a plus
- Must understand the role of casting directors and have a base knowledge of membership
- Excellent professional writing skills
- Outstanding communication, telephone and interpersonal skills required to professionally communicate with the public, board members and colleagues
- Excellent organizational skills including self-management of duties and ability to set priorities
- Ability to work extended hours, early mornings, nights and weekends as necessary
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Forms, Calendar, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of MailChimp, Survey Monkey, and other online communication tools
- Social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tumblr)
- Mac and PC proficient
The New York CSA Coordinator often takes on the New York Artios Awards producer role.
Not required. There is additional compensation for this position.
The Artios Awards are simultaneous events are held annually in Los Angeles and New York, and members are honored in over twenty different casting categories, for work in Film, Television and Theatre. Nominees and winners are voted on by members in good standing of the Casting Society of America.
Time commitment during Artios Season (October through January) is approximately 24 hours per week. There is additional compensation for this role.

· Assist with fundraising such as Ad Sales
· Oversee volunteer staff prior to and day of event
· Assist in creating the Show Order and other creative details
