Summer Intern - Video Production

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Capitol Music Group is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated intern for the Summer 2013 semester.

SALARY: Unpaid (for college credit only)

PURPOSE: To expose college student to hands on work experience in their field of Video Production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production: Create coverage for music video treatments, DVD duplication, Create DVD comp reels, assist with editing.
Administrative: Misc filing, Shipping, Assist with phones, Maintain director database.

PAST VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERNS HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE IN:
Attending and assisting on at least 1 shoot every 2 to 3 weeks as allowed and acting as a production assistant at said shoots.
Learning how a music video is made form pre-production all the ways through post-production and being involved in the process from start to finish.
Networking and establishing contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Production shooting and editing experience preferred.
Skills must include basic Microsoft Office and Internet research required.
Interest in pursuing a career in production a must.
Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college and be receiving academic credit for an internship.
Internships require a commitment of at least 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills required.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Must be pro-active, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-through while adhering to deadlines.
Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks sufficiently while working independently.
Strong interest in the music industry preferred.
Strong organizational skills are preferred.
Candidate must be reliable and have good time management skills.
