Booking Agent, North America
CAMI Music is seeking a career-minded individual with a passion for the performing arts to secure engagements for its distinguished roster of touring productions, classical and jazz artists, orchestras, theatre projects, and more in concert halls, performing arts centers, theatres, festivals, and with symphony orchestras throughout North America.
CAMI Music is a NYC-based company but remote work possible.
REQUIREMENTS
CAMI Music is seeking an ambitious and career-oriented person for the position of Booking Agent for North America.
Candidates must have a broad spectrum of knowledge and appreciation for the performing arts, classical music, and a proven drive in sales and consultation. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to engage in conversation and relay interest, passion, and excitement when securing engagements for the CAMI Music roster of artists. This individual must be an instinctive networker, have a natural sense of urgency, and be a strong negotiator with the ability to connect with the leaders of our field.
Prior experience in booking/sales, performing arts/theatrical presentation, marketing, management, and/or production, as well as a Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree relating to the field would serve this individual well.
3+ years of artist representation/management required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include the securing of engagements by identifying prospective presenters, promoting a diverse cross-section of musical artists, and negotiating engagement dates, fees, and related details. Communication and impeccable organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize are essential. The ability to effectively communicate complete, accurate, and timely information throughout the booking process is critical. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be assertive in their dealings and show initiative and care in their work.
Constant focus and proper execution of the artists' and attractions' individualized booking plan is at the heart of this position. Success will be defined through this individual's ability to establish productive working relationships with presenting organizations throughout North America.
