Talent Coordinator & Assistant to CEO
Calliope West Artist Management
Los Angeles, CAThis is a Part Time Job
Title: Talent Coordinator & Assistant to CEO
Location: Confidential, Los Angeles CA (Highland Park area, east Los Angeles / Hybrid)
Employment Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week. Potential to grow to full time after one year.
Position: Talent Coordinator & Assistant to the CEO
We are seeking an extremely intelligent, self-starting, reliable, and consistently hard-working individual who wants to become a talent manager, and for whom talent management is the destination, not the day job.
The Opportunity
This is a dual role for someone aspiring to build a long-term career in talent management. You will provide executive and personal support to our CEO while training in the coordination, marketing, and pitching work that talent management is built on. The position offers a direct line of sight into the industry's inner workings and is designed to be a launchpad for internal advancement. The role begins at 20 hours per week, with the potential to expand toward full-time based on your impact and the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
Talent & Marketing Support: Develop pitch materials, client presentations, and marketing graphics. Edit video, write marketing language, manage social media, update client profiles on industry websites and our own, and help scout and identify new talent.
Administrative & Executive Support: Manage scheduling, phone communications, email correspondence, digital and physical files, document drafting, and general clerical duties for the CEO and company operations. Provide administrative support to the company's educational mentorship division, including scheduling and invoicing. Important note: You will be doing work outside of talent management, ie in education, as well.
Personal Assistance: Provide discreet and efficient personal support to the CEO, including occasional errands, personal appointments, and various logistical tasks.
What You'll Bring
A clear and demonstrable ambition to build a career as a talent manager.
Real creative marketing skills: video editing, graphic design, web design, marketing language writing, and social media management. You do not need to be a specialist in all five, but you should be genuinely capable across them.
Exceptional writing, grammar, and communication skills.
Superlative intelligence; innovative thinking paired with a teachable mindset, humility, and a willingness to earn advancement.
A sales-oriented attitude with comfort engaging confidently in person, by phone, and via email.
Meticulous organization and attention to detail, including comfort with spreadsheets and data management. Attention to detail matters enormously here. We will only review applications that show us you have read the entire post, explain why you have a passion specifically for talent management, and include the word "sprezzatura."
Proven trustworthiness and reliability with excellent professional references.
Proficiency with Mac OS, Google Workspace, and MS Office Suite.
Who This Role Is Not For
We want to be honest so we can find the right fit. This position is not a survival job to support a separate long-term creative career. If your primary ambition is acting, writing, directing, music, or another creative pursuit outside this company, we will not be the right home for you, and you will not be happy here. We are looking for someone whose long-term professional ambition is talent management itself.
Preferred
Prior experience at a talent agency or management company.
A working knowledge of the entertainment landscape, including Breakdown Services and Casting Networks.
To Apply
Send a resume and a cover letter. Your cover letter should explain the reasons for your interest in talent management, the specific aspects of this posting that drew you to apply, your long-term professional goals, and any questions our posting led you to ask. It should also contain a certain word mentioned elsewhere. If you message sounds like a form letter with the company name pasted at the top, we will not be as enthused as we might be if you write us something in plain language.
