Calico is looking for a self-motivated, creative assistant to join our team. Previous creative, production, and post experience is all applicable and welcome. This assistant will be exposed to every aspect of the production company, from creative to interfacing with agents, producers, and networks. There's room for growth internally for the right individual.
Day-to-day tasks including:
Operate office phone (ie. check voicemail, transfer incoming calls, make outgoing calls per director)
Manage assistant's email
Manage director's calendar
Notate important calls and meetings
Front-desk duties regarding visitors
Assist director with aspects of Development including:
Independently research and brainstorm with director to formulate project ideas that can satisfy network mandates.
Work with director to create and design treatments and creative decks to present the ideas.
Edit together sizzle reels for projects.
Schedule meetings for director to pitch projects to networks.
In-production responsibilities including:
Production/Tech Assistant duties on set and in office
Assist Post-Production with editorial and delivery needs
Assist Production with archival research and rights clearance
Manage equipment/gear inventory
Overall office support including:
Keep all areas organized and clean (ie. kitchen, conference room, edit suite, server room)
Work with production to maintain office supply inventory
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Use of Mac computers as well as strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Must own a computer
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Post experience, particularly with Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere.
- High attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills.
• Positive, proactive and able to always exercise great judgment and common sense.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Problem-solver.
• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
