The Role
The CAA Touring Marketing Department is a dedicated team of music and comedy marketing & ticketing experts that works across all genres. Our mission is to service the agency's music and comedy clients by developing strategic marketing & ticketing campaigns that result in successful concert tours.
Responsibilities
• This role will be part of a team that works with talent and talent managers, their record labels, publicists, and others to oversee the execution of large-scale, national tour marketing campaigns
• Act as the liaison between talent and tour promoter and others
• Helps support timelines and the updating of all teams on project status and deliverables
• Assist with organizing and setting clear expectations for all project tasks and deliverables
• Monitor and document changes in project scope, communicate potential issues and adjust as needed to ensure that project timelines, budgets, and quality are not adversely affected
• Assist in managing the progress of tour marketing plans and creatively problem-solve issues affecting due dates and launch plans
• Conceptualize creative marketing campaigns and strategies
• Create strong relationships in the music and comedy industries and network with client teams, potential clients, attend industry & client events
• Develop partnerships and promotions with various 3rd parties to add value to clients' tours or other projects – i.e. Spotify, Sirius, Ticketmaster, etc.
• Oversee the ticketing strategy and set-up for clients' tours
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in marketing at a record label, concert promoter, advertising agency, talent agency, venue, or talent management company (including digital media buying & social media experience)
• Collaborative and team oriented individual
• Experience in managing a variety of projects simultaneously, and proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience in touring ticketing processes (ticketing platform knowledge a plus)
• A detailed understanding of the music industry
• Ability to collaborate across multiple groups and understand the value of working as a team
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Ability to travel, as needed
