Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with senior members of the Global Television Research and Insights team to derive strategic and actionable insights from various television and streaming sources to garner audience and marketplace intelligence that drives agency and client business outcomes in all television formats and genres.
• Participate in translating and communicating data into digestible and visually intuitive outputs through compelling analysis and storytelling to Agents, Executives, and clients in scripted, unscripted, news, international, and sports content groups.
• Balance numerous ad-hoc projects from across the Television division and the agency as a whole, sustaining open communication with the team and stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
• Own the execution and delivery of various recurring reporting outputs for the Television division and its departments, as well as the broader agency.
• Build strong relationships internally and externally, including studios, networks, production companies, and streaming platforms.
• Collaborate with and act as a liaison between the Global TV Research and Insights team, the broader Television division, and the Data and Insights teams to gather and organize Television's requirements and needs for the efficient design of optimal data solutions, tools and internal platforms.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or specialized training/certification in related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as an Analyst, with experience mining and analyzing large datasets, preferred; prior experience with TV or streaming specific datasets (e.g., Nielsen) a plus
• Experience with modern data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred; skills with coding languages (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA) a plus
• Experience working in Microsoft Excel and can create beautiful client-facing PowerPoint presentations.
• Strong graphical eye for design, including data/information visualization, layout placement, color usage, and font choices.
• Passion for the television/streaming ecosystem, with a forward-thinking approach to how data, analytics, and insights can be leveraged to drive business.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; highly collaborative and inclusive team player.
• Highly detail-oriented and well-organized; able to work in a fast-paced environment and can easily adapt to change.
• Experience working with data to solve business problems, i.e., generate and communicate actionable insights to business users.
• Committed to the data education of stakeholders, sharing of information, and empowerment through data.
Location: This is role based out of our Los Angeles, CA, office.
Compensation The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $70,000 - $83,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
