The Role
The world's leading full service entertainment, media, and sports agency is seeking a Trust Accounting Associate to work in Accounts Receivable. The primary responsibility of the Trust Accounting Associate is to ensure timely processing of client payments. Responsibilities will also include basic accounts receivable duties, follow-up on client monies/outstanding invoices, cash receipt processing, heavy data entry, invoicing and billing. Additionally, the Trust Accounting Associate will create and manage spreadsheets in Excel format that are customized to client needs and requests.
Responsibilities
• Recording incoming payments, commission and outgoing payments for clients
• Create invoices
• Interact with the agents/assistants
• Overall accountant representative for our clients
• Client reports/summaries
• Follow-up of client monies/outstanding invoices
• Basic accounts receivable/accounts payable duties
• Data entry
• Microsoft excel spreadsheets
• Word documents – business letters, etc.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• One or more years Accounting experience
• Entertainment experience is preferred
• Royalty experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well with a team and represent the culture of the company
• Team player with a high level of energy, enthusiasm
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding, high volume, dynamic, corporate environment
• Unimpeachable integrity and can be trusted to maintain confidential information
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• 10-key by touch preferred
• T yping – 45 wpm preferred
• Good organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; able to multi-task
• Will take initiative; ask for more work if needed
Compensation: The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $25.00-29.00.
