Job Description
OVERVIEW
The New York office is looking for an Assistant to join the Global Brand Solutions Team. This role will support the global CAA Sports Property & Endorsements Sales team with particular focus on clients in the United States, UK, Germany and China which include the likes of LA Clippers, Formula One and RIOT Games as well as high-profile talent ranging from Jose Mourinho to Son Heung-min to Nico Rosberg.
This person will be responsible for providing administrative support, conducting brand and industry research, and mining fan data and insights to support sales communications built by the Global Brand Solutions team.
The ideal candidate is motivated, quick-thinking and open to working in an environment where they are capable of performing research led and business intelligence gathering tasks to support the team's strategic assignments. The individual should have a strong interest in business and be naturally curious about brands, partnership marketing, and the sports landscape.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Support the Global Brand Solutions team by conducting custom research on targeted brands, their industries and the audiences they value
• Provide day-to-day support for the Brand Solutions Executives, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, expenses, answering calls
• Summarize large amounts of secondary research information to support the creation of vision decks, sales enablement tools, and lead generation opportunities
• Work alongside sales leads and assistants to create targeted prospect lists for specific sales processes
• Contribute to maintaining an internal repository of brand and rightsholder information to include:
• Brand lists by category on Salesforce
• Property client overviews, their open categories, and their USPs
• Non-exclusive property client network and their USPs
• Industry news to include; executive moves, M&A's, deals closed etc
• Use in-house and syndicated third party data tools to deliver clear insights to support outreach collateral and pitch decks
• Collate different sources of data to identify partnership recommendations to the sales team and support the wider Brand Solutions team in producing category/industry reports to shed light on the sports industry landscape and trends
• Produce CRM reports for the CAA Sports Sales leadership team
• Liaise with the wider CAA Sports sales team in London and New York to keep up-to-date with the latest property & talent client opportunities
• General assistance with ongoing projects
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• Passionate about sports, entertainment and contemporary culture and an enthusiasm to proactively seek out and broaden their knowledge about the industry and CAA's clients
• Some experience in a research-focused role is desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent MS Word skills inc. PowerPoint, Excel and Word, as well as Google sheets and docs
• Ability to use syndicated tools such as GWI, YouGov, MRI, Demographics Pro etc. and a willingness to further develop data mining skills
• Previous experience with Salesforce is a plus
• Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter attitude with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, juggling multiple tasks simultaneously
• A positive, hard-working ''can-do'' attitude
